Renato Balestra Fashion Show

Hello my fellow readers,

On Friday 21st of July, was the fashion show of Renato Balestra at St. George's Square, Valletta.
For this fashion show I was assisting in backstage and therefore, I had the chance to feel the fabrics of the dresses and see them up close. The show was organised by the Chamber of Fashion Malta.

The set up of the cat walk was very nice, it wasn't the original straight one, but was all throughout the Square's fountain. The models came out from the Italian Cultural Heritage building right in front of the Grandmaster's palace.

One could see the beautiful dresses and their colours. The colour scheme of this collection was very neutral with colours such as cream, white, gold, orange, silver and very light blue.

Some pictures I took in backstage before the show:

The Vocabulary of Maltese Style Fashion Show, Hosted by Hon.Marlene Mizzi

Hello my fellow readers,

On Friday 31st June, was the fashion show and opening of the exhibition: The Vocabulary of Maltese Style. The exhibition was held at the House of Representatives/Maltese Parliament in Valletta.
Hon. Marlene Mizzi (MEP) organised this event and exhibition as part of Malta's EU Presidency.
The exhibition revealed the links between the fashion of mainland Europe and the one created in Malta. One can see 100 years of Maltese fashion from 1917 till 2017.

On the day, both curator Luke Azzopardi and the duo Charles and Ron showcased their latest Spring/Summer collections. Here you can see some photos from the fashion show which took place on the stairs right next to the parliament:

This is what I wore for the event:

I went for a cream lace dress since I thought I should wear something vintage looking. Since I was paying attention to the details in the items of the exhibition, I thought I'd pay a bit to mine too and here you can see a photo of the detailing of my dress.
